Snuff millstones reconstructed
In the past year, the millwright reconstrueerd one of the two millstones for snuff tobacco in De Lelie. This grinder was used in the past in the last stage of the production of snuff
These millstones are removed in the thirties and now reinstalled. The wish to reconstruct at least one of the two couples of millstones was longstanding and this reconstruction makes equipment in De Lelie more complete.
On the 10th of December for the first time snuff tobacco was ground on the new millstones.
The picture shows the new milstones. The darkcolored parts are from the original millstone and are preserved more than 75 years in the mill.
